This Privacy Policy explains what information TicTrek ("the Game", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. TicTrek is a browser-based game. Please read this policy carefully before playing.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Locally Stored Game Data

Most of your gameplay data is stored directly in your browser's local storage on your own device, not on our servers. This includes:

• Your chosen in-game player name and player tag
• Game progress: gold, gems, wins/losses, level, experience, trophies, owned skins/emotes, quest progress
• Game settings such as sound and music preferences
• Timestamps used to track whether you've seen certain news or community updates

This data stays on your device unless cloud sync (below) is enabled, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

1.2 Cloud Sync and Account Data

TicTrek uses a cloud backend service to support cloud save syncing, anti-cheat/moderation (such as account bans or locks), and live support chat. When these features are used:

• The Game automatically signs you in using anonymous authentication. This creates a random device/session identifier — it is not linked to your real name, email address, or any other personally identifying account information unless you choose to provide it (e.g., through support chat).
• Your player name, player tag, and game progress may be synced to our database so you can recover your progress or so we can display community leaderboards/features.
• If your account is found to violate our rules, a moderation flag (such as a ban or lock, with a reason and duration) may be stored against your anonymous player identifier.

1.3 Analytics

We use analytics tools to collect basic, aggregated usage events (for example, that the game was opened) to help us understand how the Game is used and to improve it. This data is tied to the anonymous identifier described above, not to your real-world identity.

1.4 Advertising

TicTrek displays advertisements within the Game, served through third-party advertising partners. These advertising partners may collect and use information such as:

• Device identifiers and advertising IDs
• Approximate location (such as country or region) derived from your IP address
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and engagement with ads)
• Other information used to serve ads and measure ad performance, which may include personalized or interest-based advertising unless you opt out

Our advertising partners may use cookies, SDKs, or similar tracking technologies to serve ads and prevent the same ad from being shown repeatedly. This data is handled according to each advertising partner's own privacy policy, in addition to this one. You may be able to limit ad tracking through your device or browser settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" or "opt out of ad personalization" settings), though this will not stop ads from appearing altogether.

1.5 Live Support Chat

If you contact us through the in-game "Contact Us" / Live Support feature, the messages you type — along with your in-game player name and tag — are sent to our support system so a member of our team can respond to you. Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as your real name, address, or financial details) in support chat messages.

1.6 Community Content

The Game may display community links and community posts/news pulled from our database. Viewing this content does not require you to submit any personal data, though timestamps of when you last viewed these sections may be stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require or collect your real name, physical address, phone number, or payment card details through the Game itself.
• We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, camera, or microphone data.

3. How We Use Information

• To save and restore your game progress across sessions and devices
• To operate community and news features within the Game
• To provide customer/player support in response to messages you send us
• To detect and prevent cheating, abuse, or violations of our rules (including applying bans or locks)
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Game through analytics
• To display advertisements and measure ad performance within the Game

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party cloud backend services to host our database, authentication, analytics, and messaging functionality, and third-party advertising partners to serve ads within the Game. These providers may process data on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy and security policies. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Google AdMob is our advertising partner, serving and measuring the ads shown within the Game.

5. Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear it. Cloud-synced data (progress, player name/tag, moderation flags, support chat transcripts) is retained on our servers for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Game's features, resolve support requests, or enforce our rules, after which it may be deleted or anonymized. Advertising data is retained according to the policies of our advertising partners.

6. Your Choices

• Clear local data: You can reset your local game data at any time by clearing your browser's site storage for the Game.
• Support chat: Avoid including personal information you don't want us to receive.
• Ad personalization: You may be able to limit personalized advertising through your device or browser's ad settings.
• Data deletion requests: To request deletion of cloud-stored data tied to your player tag, contact us using the details in Section 9.

7. Children's Privacy

TicTrek is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Game does not ask players to provide real names or contact details. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, through support chat), please contact us so we can delete it.

If the Game or a specific version of it is directed at children, advertising is configured to serve only non-personalized, child-appropriate ads through Google AdMob's child-directed treatment settings, in compliance with applicable laws (such as COPPA).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
